"Honouring a legacy. Protecting lives. Celebrating every summit."
Remembering
Warren Muga Asiyo
4th December 2015
THE WARREN FOUNDATION was established in memory of Warren Muga Asiyo, who tragically passed away on 4th December 2015 after suffering High Altitude Pulmonary Edema and High Altitude Cerebral Edema during a mountain expedition—both severe forms of Acute Mountain Sickness.
Inspired by Warren’s vibrant spirit, deep connections with people, and the support shown by family, friends, and the hiking community, the Foundation was formed to promote safety, reduce injuries, and prevent loss of life through education, advocacy, and preparedness for outdoor adventures.
"In every step we take toward safety, Warren’s legacy walks with us."

What is TWF?
The Warren Foundation is a fully registered and certified organisation, born out of love, loss and a passionate commitment to mountain safety.
After the tragic passing of Master Warren Muga Asiyo on Mt. Kenya in December 2015, his parents — together with families of other young climbers — established TWF in 2016.
We strive to strengthen safety awareness in outdoor environments throughout Kenya, with the goal of minimizing injuries and safeguarding lives.
